What to get a girl as a token of your love is a problem most chaps can relate to – but it’s even trickier when she’s Kate Moss.
So, when the model’s toy boy lover Nikolai von Bismarck – rumoured to have been ditched because of his party lifestyle – saw this picture of Kate by street artist Pegasus, he thought he’d cracked a way back into her affections. But I can reveal Mossy, 42, took one look at the gift from the 28-year-old count – and sent it back.
A glance at the portrait, which Nik fancied hanging in the bedroom, might explain why: Kate’s practically starkers, wearing a pair of bunny ears and in front of a rather crude message.
A source said: “Kate likened it to a Playboy bunny girl and said it made her look like a cheap date. She ordered Nik to send it back to be altered, with the original words covered up.”
Despite talk that he’s had the heave-ho from fed-up Kate, it is understood Nik is still living in her converted barn in Oxfordshire, where he has been redoing the decor. Well, clearly not all of it.
Pegasus’ manager Leonard Villa said: “I’m surprised that Kate has become conservative. She has modelled naked for Marc Quinn and always done daring, outrageous things, so I thought the original painting would have been her style. It is really iconic.”
The model became a Pegasus fan after seeing his portrait of a pregnant Kate Middleton, which was bought by Mossy’s ex Johnny Depp – now embroiled in his own relationship drama.
Back to the drawing board, young Nik.
