Young British Muslims are lured to Syria by ISIS fanatics who tell them they will live like James Bond – and even dodge bullets like 007 does.
They are shown pictures of smart houses by ISIS recruiters and promised plenty of money and girlfriends. In reality they end up living in squalor. Jurgen Todenhofer, a Middle East expert who spent ten days with ISIS in Syria and Iraq, said: “The UK recruits told me they feel like James Bond.
But they haven’t an Aston Martin, suits, or even girlfriends. There is often nothing to eat, the flats are squalid, life is sparse. “If you don’t bring your own girlfriend who will become a slave, the slaves you buy cost $1,500 and the fighters I talked to only get $50 per month.” Extremists are also brainwashing “lone wolves” over Skype, urging them to orchestrate a terror attack.
