Publishers are desperate to offer George Michael’s former lover Fadi Fawaz a £1million book deal to tell all about the star’s final days.

Random House publishing is believed to be one of the book giants who hope to sign Fadi.

But a source close to photographer Fadi dismissed any prospect of a book soon. The source said: “He wants nothing to do with that right now. He is still grieving and is very lonely.

“He’s having a tough time, he wants the truth to come out at some point but he wants it to be in the right way. At the moment poetry is his only outlet.”

Fadi has said previously: “I always refuse to go into the details of our life but I can tell you that many of the things being said are simply made up lies and very far from the truth.

“We had a good life together and were companions in the good and the not-so-good times.”
